Burial Mounds Museum

The Al’ali Burial Mounds are a fascinating archaeological site, initially mistaken for natural hills but revealed to be man-made through centuries of accumulation. Located in a historically significant transit area, the mounds offer a unique glimpse into ancient rituals and human interaction with the landscape.

The project seeks to honor this rich history by introducing new interpretative elements that blend the ancient with the contemporary. The design will incorporate green stops along a pedestrian-friendly journey, connecting the local artisan community to the museum while preserving the site’s heritage. This initiative aims to create a sustainable, vibrant space that reduces vehicular impact and integrates the cultural legacy into the heart of the neighborhood.
